Methodology

How we keep this MediPeds catalogue current

What gets re-read, how often, and what happens to a piece that goes out of stock.

Prices

Every price on this site comes out of our own product data and is rewritten when it moves. The catalogue was last updated on October 11, 2026, and at that update it held 17 socks in stock across 44 colour, pack and shoe-size combinations. Where a figure here and the figure at the till disagree, the till is the one that counts.

A packet we cannot currently buy does not appear at all. It is not hidden behind a “currently unavailable” label: it comes off the site at the next build and comes back by itself when it returns to stock, because the catalogue behind these pages keeps asking about it either way.

Heights, shoe sizes, pack counts and yarns

These come from the same product data and are rebuilt from it on every pass, so nobody types a shoe size into a paragraph by hand. A shoe-size range is printed as the packet prints it, both audiences where the packet names both. A pack count is pairs, not socks. The height is read from the construction rather than from a separate word, because half these packets name it only once. A yarn is named only where the packet names it. Where our product data gives no figure, the line is left out rather than guessed.

Pictures

Every photograph on this site shows the sock being sold. Two kinds of frame are left out on purpose. The first is the feature panel: a navy band with the wordmark and four callouts pointing at a sock, which arrives on twenty-eight packets in this range and shows a white sock even on the black ones. The second is a page of type with no photograph in it, which here means a wash-care paragraph and the printed packet of the compression sock. That packet is the one that matters: it carries claims about circulation and about the risk of a clot printed into its pixels, where no text audit can see them, and this site does not make those claims in its text. That packet has no other photograph, so the whole line is out of the catalogue.

Claims about feet

This catalogue never says in its own voice that a sock improves circulation, reduces swelling, prevents a sore or lowers a risk. The word diabetic on a packet describes who a sock was designed around, and this site prints the knitting instead: the cuff, the seam and the sole. Anything here that touches what a sock for a numb foot should be like, what to look at on a foot each day, why footwear choice matters, or what a prescribed compression stocking actually is, is written under a published source rather than over one. The register below is the whole of it, and every entry was opened and read on September 8, 2026 before a link was put on it.

Corrections

If a shoe size, a pack count or a height on this site argues with the packet in your hands, write to instep@medipeds.net with the page and the figure. It gets fixed at the next update, and we say what changed. The rest of what MediPeds will and will not print about itself is set out in the editorial policy.

Every pack count, every shoe size

Every packet in the MediPeds lineup sits behind this button, with the price from our last update against each one.
